One man has been arrested after police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance yesterday.

On May 5, 2024 at approximately 11:50 p.m. police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 1000 Block of Baltzan Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers observed an injured woman on a balcony above the door. Following several unsuccessful attempts to gain entry into the residence, police breached the door. Once inside, officers observed signs consistent with a struggle and found a male suspect attempting to hide from police.

As a result of continued investigation, the 24-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault and failure to comply with court-ordered conditions.

The victim of the assault was transported to hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
